"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…"
A guaranteed original U.S. advance one sheet movie poster from 2012 for George Lucas' 1999 prequel "The Phantom Menace", Star Wars Episode I.
The first of a trilogy of prequel films (filmed at Leavesden Studios, just up the road from our HQ), the film starred Liam Neeson (as "Qui-Gon Jinn"), Ewan McGregor (as the younger "Obi-Wan Kenobi"), Natalie Portman (as "Queen Padme Amidala") and Jake Lloyd (as "Anakin Skywalker"), together with a host of new characters, including "Darth Maul" and (to many fans angst) "Jar Jar Binks".
We recently re-watched this film and it stands the test of time well. The set-piece scenes, such as the Pod Race and light-sabre duels, are as good as ever and the design and special effects still incredible. We loved revisiting it!
Note that this poster is from the re-release of the film, in 3D, in 2012.
This poster has never been folded and is in super condition. Being double-sided it could be displayed in an Art of the Movies Light Box or framed traditionally. Either way, it will look superb!
This film heralded the return of Star Wars after a gap of fifteen years. For old fans, it was an unbelievable kick back to the exhilaration of the 1970s. For new fans, it introduced a new set of characters. In this case Darth Maul takes centre stage, looming almost 3D-like, over the superb pod race below him.
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
