A guaranteed original U.S. '30x40' style B movie poster from 1980 for "The Empire Strikes Back", sequel to 1977's "Star Wars".

Perhaps the most highly regarded of the Star Wars sequels.

Based on the story by George Lucas the film starred Mark Hamill (as "Luke Skywalker"), Harrison Ford (as "Han Solo"), Carrie Fisher (as "Princess Leia"), Billy Dee Williams (as "Lando Calrissian"), Frank Oz (as "Yoda") and a host of actors now very familiar to all movie fans.

This iconic poster was designed by legendary movie poster artist Tom Jung. Coincidentally, he also laid out the design for the Gone With The Wind poster that was imitated in another of the Empire Strikes Back movie posters.

Note that this poster has never been folded and is a wonderful example of a rarer '30x40' movie poster. These posters were produced for use outside U.S. movie theaters and at drive-ins and so were printed on a thicker card-like paper stock. The ink seems to work beautifully on the thicker paper, given the image even greater depth. We love it!

As our photos show, it is in amazing condition and will look incredible framed and on display. A real piece of Star Wars history!
