"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…"
A set of guaranteed original Japanese chirashi 'B5' flyer movie posters from 1978, 1980 and 1982 for George Lucas' original "Star Wars" trilogy.
Written and directed by Lucas and nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, the first film introduced us to Mark Hamill (as "Luke Skywalker"), Harrison Ford (as "Han Solo"), Carrie Fisher (as "Princess Leia"), Anthony Daniels (as "C-3PO"), Kenny Baker (as "R2-D2") and a host of actors now very familiar faces to all movie fans.
A New Hope was released in Japan in 1978 and its chirashi has fantastic montage imagery that was not used for the Western posters.
The Empire Strikes Back was released in 1980 and similarly, its chirashi has a fantastic montage, this time including the cloud city of Bespin.
Return of the Jedi was released in 1982 and its chirashi features incredible illustration by Japanese artist Kazuhiko Sano.
All three chirashis have Japanese text and black and white photos on the reverse.
Together they make a fantastic original trilogy set that look amazing framed together.
We will also include a rough translation of the rear of the A New Hope chirashi as it is great reading!
If you would like us to frame these fantastic chirashi for you, please add three grey-colour-coded '8x10' frames to your shopping basket.
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: These posters are priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
