A guaranteed original U.S. video store release poster from 1987 for The Beatles' 1968 animated masterpiece "Yellow Submarine", directed by George Dunning.

Whilst the film would always have an enduring quality due its association with The Beatles, it is also a very worthy piece of cinematic art. Pixar co-founder John Lasseter has apparently credited Yellow Submarine with paving the way for the diverse world of animation that we enjoy today. Josh Weinstein of The Simpsons claims that it "gave birth to modern animation", and (according to a BBC article), it was even rumoured to be one of the late Queen's favourite films.

This wonderful poster was produced for display in a U.S. video store for the 1987 release of the film on videocassette. It was originally issued folded, but has recently been linen-backed by our paper conservators and as our photos show, it looks superb!
