Originally written for a BBC TV slot, Scum was far too violent for 1970's British TV and it was withdrawn from broadcast! Two years later, Alan Clarke remade it as a movie.

When a young man takes the rap for his brother's crime and is sent to a Borstal youth detention centre, he quickly realises that the only way to survive is to become top-dog himself.

Raw and packing a punch, Ray Winstone's second big screen outing is a hard hitting movie.
