A guaranteed original U.S. one sheet movie poster for John G. Avildsen's 1977 underdog boxing masterpiece "Rocky", starring Sylvester Stallone.

Both written by and starring Stallone as the eponymous "Rocky Balboa" and made on a budget of $1M, the film earned over $225M, winning three Oscars, including 'Best Picture'.

This iconic movie poster captures Rocky with his beloved Adrian. It was originally issued folded but has now been linen-backed and sensitively (not 'over') restored. Please do take a look at our hi-res photos to see how well it now displays.

A truly iconic film that is still spawning sequels, certainly one of the best sports films ever produced.

By the way, in order to qualify for the 1977 Oscars, Rocky was given a limited release in November 1976, but all of the posters carry a 1977 reference number!
