A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 1994 for the 25th anniversary release of John Schlesinger's 1969 cinematic masterpiece "Midnight Cowboy", starring Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight.

Based on the 1965 novel by James Leo Herlihy, this incredible movie depicts the friendship of a naive (would be) male sex worker (Voight) and a limping con man (Hoffman). With astonishing performances by both leads (who were both nominated for the Best Actor Oscar) and amazing direction by Schlesinger, this is a gritty, yet beautiful movie. Even Toots Thielemans haunting mouth-organ theme tune is perfection.

Nominated for seven Academy Awards, it would win three, including the coveted Best Picture and Best Director Oscars. If you haven't seen it, do watch this incredible movie.

This super single-sided poster was issued in 1994 for the 25th anniversary of the movie's original release. Unusually, each poster was numbered and this is number '06606'.
