Woah - what a poster!

A superb and guaranteed original U.S. half sheet movie poster from the original release of Steven Spielberg's 1975 masterpiece "Jaws", starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss and Lorraine Gary.

Based on Peter Benchley's 1974 novel, Spielberg's outstanding film is frequently listed as one of the greatest films ever made. I am still surprised that for its original release it was given an 'A' rating in the UK, which at the time, did not prevent children seeing it. That resulted in me being taken to see it when I was four! (It was given a 12A rating for its 2012 release.)

Is there a more iconic movie poster? The fantastic artwork is by the great Roger Kastel. It was originally painted for the cover of Benchley's novel, but was so good, it was retained for the film too.

Posters for this Summer Blockbuster classic are very highly sought after. Posters for the original release are nearly always folded. This wonderful example of a rarer U.S. format has not been! It has also been linen-backed, a conservation process that helps stabilise the poster for the long term and also aid handling. This is a very special poster!
