A wonderful original Belgian movie poster from 1972 for Bob Fosse's musical "Cabaret", based on the play by John Van Druten.

Set in pre-World War II Germany, the film was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar but it was Liza Minelli's performance that stole the show, winning her the Best Actress Academy Award, alongside Joel Gray who was also a winner for his portrayal of "Emcee".

This is a wonderful poster, really evocative of the period! It was produced for use in Belgium and the space at the top of the poster would have have been used by the cinema to write in the day and time of the film's showing. Clearly this example was not used!

It has since been linen-backed (a process that stablises and preserves the poster) and as out photos show, displays superbly! A wonderful smaller poster for this classic musical.
