A guaranteed original U.S. 'half sheet' movie poster for Francis Ford Coppola's 1979 Vietnam war epic "Apocalypse Now", adapted from the 1899 novel "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad.

While the events of the novel took place on the Congo River, Ford Coppola's movie transports the action to South Vietnam and Cambodia. Starring Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Martin Sheen, Larry Fishburne and Dennis Hopper (and also with Harrison Ford), this astonishing film was nominated for eight Oscars, winning two. It is often cited in lists of the greatest films ever made.

What a movie poster! The amazing artwork is by the incomparable Bob Peak. Many of his movie posters are fine art and this is one of the best examples. Such an incredibly atmospheric image. We adore it.
