A guaranteed original U.S. 'style A fan club' one sheet movie poster from 1999 for "The Phantom Menace", Star Wars Episode I.

The first of a trilogy of prequel films (filmed at Leavesden Studios, just up the road from our HQ), the film starred Liam Neeson (as "Qui-Gon Jinn"), Ewan McGregor (as the younger "Obi-Wan Kenobi"), Natalie Portman (as "Queen Padme Amidala") and Jake Lloyd (as "Anakin Skywalker"), together with a host of new characters, including "Darth Maul" and (to many fans angst) "Jar Jar Binks".

This poster is a single-sided advance teaser, with a watermark on the back. It was available to members of the Star Wars Fan Club.

Note that this poster has never been folded and as our photos shows, is in super condition with only the most minor signs of its twenty plus years. It will frame and display really well.

This poster heralded the return of Star Wars after a gap of fifteen years. For old fans, it was an unbelievable kick back to the exhilaration of the 1970s. For new fans, it introduced a new set of characters to follow on an amazing three film journey. The poster sums it all up perfectly.
