A guaranteed original U.S. '8 x 10' movie still from 1939 for Victor Fleming's classic fantasy musical "The Wizard of Oz", based on American Author L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz".

Starring Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr and Jack Haley, it is incredible to believe that this all-time classic was only a modest success on its release! It was the 1956 showing on TV that ignited the public's love of the film. According to the US Library of Congress, it is the most watched film in movie history!

This fantastic movie still is from the original 1939 release! It is in amazing condition for its age and shows Dorothy meeting the Munchkins after killing the Wicked Witch of the East!

It is in lovely condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear Perspex glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!

By the way, the rear of this still references The Everett Collection. In 1961 Morris Everett began collecting stills on virtually every film ever made. By the late 1980's he had amassed one of the world's largest private collections of entertainment photography. This theatrical still was at one point, part of his collection. We will include a copy of the reverse of this still for the new owner's records.
