A guaranteed original and framed '11x14' lobby card from 1978 for D.C. Comics' "Superman", starring Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel.
Reeve was brilliantly cast and played the bumbling Clark Kent as well as he played the super hero. With a budget of $55 million it was, at the time, the most expensive film ever made. It's stellar cast, including Gene Hackman as a fabulous Lex Luther, and superb special effects (which earned it a special Oscar for Visual Effects) helped it achieve fantastic box office success, spawning three sequels.
This wonderful lobby card, showing Reeve's Superman flying over the city with Lois Lane, would have been used in the lobby of a cinema at the time of the film's 1978 release.
It is in fantastic condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear Perspex glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
By the way, Reeve gained over 40 pounds of muscle to play the super-hero from Krypton. His trainer? David Prowse, also known as Darth Vader!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This lobby card is priced framed. Photos showing 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
