A guaranteed original '8x10' movie still from 1971 for Mike Hodge's gangster thriller "Get Carter", based on Ted Lewis' 1970 novel Jack's Return Home.
Filmed in an around Newcastle and the North East of England, Hodge's gritty setting provided the perfect back-drop for Michael Caine's vengeful gangster. Caine apparently incorporated elements of underworld acquaintances in to his portrayal of Jack Carter.
A modest financial success on its release, Get Carter has now become a cult-favourite, not least due to the success of modern Brit-gangster films such as Lock Stock, Snatch and The Gentlemen.
This superb movie still, with an iconic image of Caine's gun touting Carter, was taken by a Unit Still Photographer during filming and then used for publicity during the film's release.
It is in fantastic condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear Perspex glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
