This is a fantastic small photo!

A guaranteed original candid still from 1940, taken during filming of Alfred Hitchcock's World War II espionage thriller "Foreign Correspondent", based on the memoirs of American journalist Vincent Sheean.

Following his Hollywood debut "Rebecca", this is the second film Hitchcock made after leaving the UK. It would also be the second of his films to be nominated for Best Picture at the 1940 Academy Awards. It would lose out to Rebecca!

This is a wonderful, really small still. It shows Hitchcock on set during the shooting of the movie. Attached to the rear is Walter Wanger Studio's publicity blurb, which includes that Hitchcock is "... filmdom's greatest master of mood, suspense and thrilling screen surprises"!

A really wonderful piece of cinema history.

We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.

Note: This theatrical still is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
