A holy grail for movie poster collectors!

A guaranteed original U.S. one sheet movie poster from 1981 for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas' adventure epic, "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

Nominated for eight Oscars, and winning five, the film stars Harrison Ford (as "Dr. Henry 'Indiana' Jones Jr.") and Karen Allen (as "Marion Ravenwood"). The original story was actually written by George Lucas and Philip Kaufman, inspired by the film series they had watched on Saturday mornings as kids.

Although many scenes were filmed Internationally, production was based at Elstree Studios, a few miles down the road from our HQ.

This astonishing movie poster was (amazingly for this film) never folded! It is only the second unfolded example we have ever found. It had only one blemish and our paper conservators have worked their magic to make it blend in to the poster design. (See the fifth and sixth of our hi-res photos for close up images.)

The incredible artwork is by legendary illustrator Richard Amsel and is from the original 1981 release of the film. As our photos show, it is in wonderful condition and will look incredible framed and on display!
