This epic drama stars Meryl Streep as a Danish spinster thrown in to a marriage of convenience in British East Africa. As her marriage disintegrates, she becomes closer to big-game-hunter Denys Finch Hatton (Robert Redford) in a relationship that proves tumultuous for its own reasons.

This astonishing film was nominated for eleven Academy Awards, winning seven, including the coveted Best Picture and Best Director Oscars for Pollack.
