The Artists - The Movie Posters of Richard Amsel

In recent blog posts we have written of our love of the art of illustrator Richard Amsel. If you haven’t had chance, please do check out our post on film-maker and author Adam McDaniel’s work to preserve and promote the work of this astonishing artist, taken from us far too early.

In a short but prolific career he illustrated magazine covers, album covers, and book covers. But it is his movie posters that we will focus on.

Like all commercial artists, he produced sketches, comprehensives and even final artworks that ultimately went unused. We have identified thirty-two Amsel movie posters that we believe made it to movies theatres / cinemas.
