A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from the 2017 U.S. release of Tomomi Mochizuki's Japanese animated coming-of-age romance "Ocean Waves", originally release in Japan as "Umi ga Kikoeru" which translates as "I Can Hear The Sea".

Based on the 1993 novel by Saeko Himuro, Ocean Waves was the first Studio Ghibli film directed by someone other than Miyazaki or Takahata. It served as an experiment to deliver a film entirely produced by younger members of staff.

Handling more mature themes than many of Ghibli's films, it struggled to find distributors in the West. (Disney had the rights for many years but failed to release it.) It would be 2017 before it reached U.S. movie theaters and this poster was produced for that release.

As our photos show, it is a beautiful single-sided poster and is in super condition. It will look fantastic framed and on display!
