It has been six years since we last found a double-sided version of this iconic movie poster!

A guaranteed original one sheet teaser movie poster from 2009 for James Cameron's astonishing sci-fi fantasy epic "Avatar", the highest grossing film of all time.

Cameron began work on Avatar back in 1994 but it would take over a decade for the technology to become available to produce the film. The ground-breaking worlds and characters it portrays cost over $200M to bring to life, but, bring them to life it does, in ways that evoke the wonder of a child in an adult. It is stunning.

Nominated for nine Oscars (including Best Picture and Best Director), the movie would win three, including, unsurprisingly, Best Visual Effects.

Following the success of 'Avatar 2' The Way of Water, 'Avatar 3' Fire and Ash is due for release in December 2025. Would you bet against it taking over $1B at the global box office?!

This is a really rare movie poster! The most iconic image from the Avatar franchise in double-sided form, just begging to be displayed in an Art of the Movies Light Box!

Condition & Age

Vintage cinema posters were working promotional materials used by theatres and distributors. As such, signs of age and handling are normal and form part of their character.

Condition is carefully assessed for each poster and reflected in the description. Where relevant, notes may include details such as light handling wear, fold lines from original cinema distribution, or minor edge wear.

Any significant restoration or conservation work will always be clearly stated.
