A rare and guaranteed original framed '8 x 10' movie still / photograph for one of the most influential films ever made, Stanley Kubrick's legendary "2001: A Space Odyssey".
Based on the short story The Sentinel by Arthur C. Clarke, the screenplay was written jointly by Kubrick and Clarke. Although financed by MGM from the U.S., the film was largely made in the U.K. It's ground-breaking visual effects earned Kubrick an Oscar. One of four of the film's nominations.
This superb still carries a black and white rendition of Bob McCall's fantastic concept art of astronauts on the surface of the Moon, with an Aries 1b lunar lander in the background. In the dark sky, Earth hangs like a marble! Remember, this was before man ever set foot on the Moon!
