A guaranteed original U.S. half sheet 'revenge stripe' movie poster from 1982 for "Star Wars", now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope".

Written and directed by George Lucas and nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, Star Wars introduced us to Mark Hamill (as "Luke Skywalker"), Harrison Ford (as "Han Solo"), Carrie Fisher (as "Princess Leia"), Peter Cushing (as "Grand Moff Tarkin"), Alec Guinness (nominated in the Best Supporting Actor Oscar category, as Obi-Wan Kenobi) and a host of actors now very familiar faces to all movie fans.

This fantastic poster is of the rarer 'half sheet' format. It was produced for the 1982 re-release of the original Star Wars, also trailing the upcoming release of Revenge of the Jedi (subsequently released, of course, as Return of the Jedi).

This poster features the 'space crawl' logo, coupled with Tom Jung's classic artwork. The reference to Revenge of the Jedi also adds to its uniqueness. An increasingly hard to find poster, especially in this condition. It will look superb framed and hanging on any Star Wars fan's wall!
