A guaranteed original Australian Daybill movie poster from 1991 for Jonathan Demme's serial killer psychological drama "The Silence of the Lambs", based on the 1988 novel by Thomas Harris.

An absolute classic, this is the film that introduced us to Anthony Hopkins' terrifying cannibal 'Dr. Hannibal Lecter' and Jodie Foster's FBI agent newbie 'Clarice Starling', in scenes as memorable as "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti" and "You wake up sometimes, don't You. You wake up in the dark and hear the screaming of the lambs." A masterpiece.

Winner of five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Hopkins) and Best Supporting Actress (Foster), this movie is now firmly embedded in popular culture.

This fantastic movie poster shows Clarice and the death's head hawk-moth that features in the film. Look closely and it reveals a secret... The skull on the moth's back is actually made up of women. It is In Voluptas Mors, conceived by Salvador Dali in 1951 and photographed by Philippe Halsman.

It was produced for the film's Australian release and as is common practice with the region's movie posters, was issued folded. It has remained so and as our photos show, will look fantastic framed and on display. We love it!
