A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 2017 for Joe Wright's biographical World War II drama, "Darkest Hour", starring Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, Stephen Dillane and Ben Mendelsohn.

Darkest Hour takes its title from the proverb that "the darkest hour is just before the dawn". In the context of World War II, it is used to refer to the year following the collapse of France and the seemingly unstoppable advance of the German Army.

Britain, led by the indefatigable Winston Churchill, stood alone. Twenty or so miles of sea separating us from the continent. 

This wonderful movie follows Churchill as he forms a government and despite growing pressure, refuses to negotiate with Germany, culminating in his "we shall fight them on the beaches" speech to the British Parliament. 

Gary Oldman would win the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of the British PM.

This superb poster has never been folded, is in wonderful condition and displays fantastically. It is double-sided and so could be used in an Art of the Movies Light Box, as well as being traditionally framed. Either way, it will look amazing on the wall of any follower of the greats of politics.
