A stunning and guaranteed original 8x10 lobby card from 1959 for "The Mysterians". Originally released in 1957 as "Chikyu Boeigun", (literally translated "Earth Defence Force"), a Japanese science fiction thriller.

Directed by Ishiro Honda, The Mysterians stars Kenji Sahara, Yumi Shirakawa, Momoko Kochi, Akihiko Hirata, and Takashi Shimura.

For the film buffs, this movie was initially released in the U.S. by RKO, but RKO were having financial difficulties at the time. As a result, it seems that MGM took over while the movie was still in its first release. 

This beautiful lobby card, with artwork by Robert Rigg (who we believe was a U.S. commissioned soldier who wrote and illustrated on the future state of warfare) is quite a rarity. Whilst produced for use in the U.S., it was printed in the U.K. and carries 'printed in Great Britain' text. Perhaps the quality of printing was better in Europe at the time. 

It is in fantastic condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear Perspex glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
