Written by Paul W. S. Anderson, Apocalypse picks up where 2002's Resident Evil finished, with security operative Alice pulling together a rag tag group of survivors to escape the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City. 

The second film of the Resident Evil franchise would take $130M at the global box office, paving the way for 2007's Resident Evil: Extinction.
