Development of a live action remake of Disney's 1953 classic Peter Pan began in 2016. It would be four years before the title Peter Pan & Wendy was announced, with the film taking a further three years to complete.

J.M. Barrie's original 1904 play is much loved. I remember with great fondness a magical night with own daughter watching an adaptation in London's Kensington Gardens. His 1911 novel (entitled Peter and Wendy) has also been many a child's favourite bedtime book. 

Peter Pan & Wendy was released on Disney+ in April 2023.
