The Films We Are Looking Forward To In 2022 (Jun to Dec)
After Spider-Man: No Way Home tied up the Christmas and New Year box office, 2022 at the movies started off on a sure footing.
January saw the release of the fantastic Licorice Pizza, a reboot of the The Scream franchise and Kenneth's Branagh's moving semi-autobiographical Belfast.
In February, the master of disaster, Roland Emmerich brought the (cheesy) moon crashing down on us in Moonfall and the Beatles caused their own chaos with The Beatles: Get Back - The Rooftop Concert, before Branagh made it 'two out of two' with Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile.

In March we got to see Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz in Matt Reeve's The Batman. Colin Farrell was there too, but you had to try really hard to recognise him! If you were quick, you may have also caught the last two movies of the Godfather trilogy, remastered and recut by Francis Ford Coppola.

April's blockbuster was the Wizarding World's Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, but flying under the radar was Nicholas Cage, in peak form in the massively entertaining The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. If you haven't seen it, it is still playing and Pedro Pascal gives a fantastic performance too.

May got off to a spell-binding start with Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, but the superb Everything Everywhere All At Once proved that Marvel does not have a monopoly on the multi-universe concept!
Mat concluded with a sonic boom as Tom Cruise finally climbed back in to the cockpit and Top Gun: Maverick took off, setting box office records as it left the runway.
