It’s the weekend of the 91st Academy Awards and the film industry has Oscar fever.
In the run-up, The Washington Post ran a fantastic article examining the movie posters of some of the Award hopefuls.
It's a fascinating read for anyone interested in movies, movie posters, or creative design.
It was great to see that their intro agrees with our view on original movie posters...
"Movie posters are plastered on dorm rooms, scaffolding under construction sites and megaplex hallways. Like the films they advertise, they can become cultural icons — at their best functioning as frame-able and collectible works of art."
You can read the whole article here.
(If you are a fan of “A Star Is Born”, “Vice” or “Green Book”, look away now!)
Happy reading!
