A New Trailer for Villeneuve's DUNE!

Denis Villeneuve's DUNE

Try as they might, previous film-makers have failed to fully translate Frank Herbert's 1965 novel to the big screen.

Alejandro Jodorowsky Prullansky famously failed to get his 14 hour film off the ground, despite having Salvador Dali and Orson Welles on-board.

David Lynch's 1984 version is, perhaps, a flawed masterpiece that did not reflect the director's own vision. Despite this it retains a well earned following.

So, it is a brave film-maker who takes on the story of the planet Arrakis and the House Atreides. Denis Villeneuve is such a director, having already proven his cult-favourite credentials with the superb Blade Runner 2049.
