Based on an episode of The Twilight Zone, this movie is more than a slap-stick vehicle for Jim Carrey's physical comedy. In it he plays Truman Burbank, the unsuspecting star of a reality TV show who begins to question his own reality.
Whilst it would be Peter Weir (Best Director), Andrew Nicol (Best Original Screenplay) and Ed Harris (Best Supporting Actor) who would be Oscar nominated, Jim Carrey gives a perfectly balanced, comedic, yet moving performance, worthy of the Golden Globe that he did collect.
This is one of the finest pieces of movie poster design! The amazing mosaic of stills from the film referencing the reality of Truman's life!
