An original Swedish movie poster from 2021 for Robert Wiene's 1920 German expressionism silent horror "The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari", starring Werner Krauss, Conrad Veidt, Friedrich Feher, Lil Dagover and Hans Heinrich von Twardowski.
Released in German as Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari, this landmark of German Expressionist cinema is considered the first major horror movie ever made. A hundred years on, Its influence on Hollywood film noir can still be seen today.
In 2021, Swedish film distributors Nonstop Timeless commissioned seven artists to produce new movie posters for their favourite classic film. Graphic designer Alba Lange chose The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari and the result is this superb movie poster.
It is single-sided and beautifully printed on a thicker art paper. We love it!

About this poster
Original cinema posters from the mid-twentieth century capture the graphic design language of their era and were produced for theatrical display. These pieces were printed for use in cinemas rather than for retail sale, giving them a direct connection to the film’s original release. Presented here in the 27 × 40 inch US One Sheet format, the standard poster size used in American cinemas from the 1980s onward. This format offers strong wall presence and displays particularly well framed.
This poster has not been linen-backed and remains in its original paper state, as issued for cinema use.
