A guaranteed original U.S. half sheet movie poster from the 1959 release of Charlie Chaplin's 1936 factory comedy classic "Modern Times".
Charlie Chaplin's iconic Little Tramp makes his final outing in this part-talkie, struggling to survive in the modern mechanised world. Would he be better off in jail, sheltered from it all, or, is there happiness to found?
Hailed as one of Chaplin's greatest films, Modern Times frequently appears on lists of the Greatest Films of the 20th Century and its messages on the automation and dehumanisation of our technological era are as true today as they were nearly ninety years ago.
This wonderful poster (a rarer 'half sheet' format) was produced for a 1959 U.S. release of the movie. Well over sixty years old, it still looks fantastic and as our photos show, will look incredible framed and on the wall of any film fan!
