A guaranteed original and framed 8x10 movie still from 1985 for Joel Schumacher's Brat Pack coming-of-age drama "St. Elmo's Fire", starring Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Mare Winningham, Andrew McCarthy, Martin Balsam and Andie MacDowell.

When do we transition from child to adult? (Do we ever?) Leaving education and entering the 'real world' is a reality check for a group of Georgetown University graduates. As fate brings them back together, they meet again in their college hangout, St Elmo's Bar, but their lives are now very different from their care-free school days. 

The term 'Brat Pack' (a play on the 'Rat Pack' of the 1950's) was first coined in a 1985 New Yorker article by David Blum, with the core group all appearing in St Elmo's Fire and The Breakfast Club (which was released the same year). Emilio Estevez was described as the group's unofficial president!

Of course, being a 1980's film, the movie had to have it's own classic song. In this case, John Parr's St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion), a world-wide chart hit!

This superb movie still, showing the graduates outside the eponymous bar, was taken by a Unit Still Photographer during production and then used for promotion during the film's release.

It is in fantastic condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear acrylic glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!

By the way, St. Elmo's Fire is a nautical term that refers to the illuminated plasma that sometimes dances around a ship's mast during a thunder storm!
