A guaranteed original Italian 'locandina' movie poster for Sergio Leone's 1966 seminal spaghetti western "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" with Clint Eastwood reprising his role as the man with no name, 'Blondie'.
Unbelievably, the film received negative reviews upon release, but today, the final movie of 'the Dollars Trilogy' is widely regarded as the finest Western ever made. Sergio Leone's sweeping long-shots, tense close-ups and Ennio Morricone's soundtrack combine in a masterpiece of cinema. Quentin Tarantino has called it "the best directed film of all time" and "the greatest achievement in the history of cinema". High, but well deserved, praise.
Tarantino's own "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" has introduced the spaghetti western to a new generation of fans, and, with the prominent use of movie posters within the film, increased the desire for illustrated Italian locandinas.
This is another fantastic example with artwork by Renato Casaro, who Tarantino called on to produce fictional posters for Rick Dalton movies in "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood". It is designed with a space at the top for the movie theatre to write in the date and time of the film's showing. This poster remained unused.
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
