"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…"

A guaranteed original poster from 1999 for Lucasfilm's first major fan gathering, "Star Wars Celebration".

The "Star Wars Celebrations" began in 1999 to celebrate the upcoming release of the first Star Wars prequel "The Phantom Menace". Celebrations II and III were held to mark the release of "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith".

This, the official poster for Celebration I, perfectly pre-empts the Phantom Menace story-line, with Darth Maul looming over the young Anakin Skywalker.

The Celebrations continue. In August 2019, Celebration 13 was held in Chicago, providing some great sneak peeks for the upcoming "Rise of Skywalker" movie.

The fantastic artwork for this poster is by legendary movie poster artist John Alvin (E.T., Blade Runner, The Lion King and many others). Alvin also produced one of the rarest early Star Wars posters (the 'Concert' poster).

Note that this poster has never been folded and displays superbly.

We only sell guaranteed original posters. We do not sell reproductions.

Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
