"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…"
A guaranteed original Japanese 'B2' movie poster from 1982 for "Star Wars", now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope".
Written and directed by George Lucas and nominated in the 'Best Picture' category for an Oscar, the film introduced us to Mark Hamill (as "Luke Skywalker"), Harrison Ford (as "Han Solo"), Carrie Fisher (as "Princess Leia"), Anthony Daniels (as "C-3PO"), Kenny Baker (as "R2-D2") and a host of actors now very familiar faces to all movie fans.
The film was released with subtitles in Japan in 1978, shortly after the U.S. release. It was then re-released in 1982, this time dubbed in to Japanese. This superb poster was specially created to celebrate that event and features artwork by Ohrai Noriyoshi.
It has never been folded and displays superbly. Please examine our high resolution photos to appreciate the amazing condition of this rare poster.
The artwork for this poster is by Noriyoshi Ohrai. He showed his love for the Millennium Falcon by putting it centre stage of the design!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
