"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…"

A guaranteed original Japanese 'B2' movie soundtrack poster from 1978 for "Star Wars", now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope".

Written and directed by George Lucas and nominated in the "Best Picture" category for an Oscar, the film introduced us to Mark Hamill (as "Luke Skywalker"), Harrison Ford (as "Han Solo"), Carrie Fisher (as "Princess Leia"), Anthony Daniels (as "C-3PO"), Kenny Baker (as "R2-D2") and a host of actors now very familiar faces to all movie fans.

Note that the film was released in Japan in 1978, shortly after the U.S. release in 1977. This poster is from the original Japanese release.

This poster has never been folded. There are some small creases and scuff marks across the poster and some light brown stains (most likely from exposure to a moist environment) primarily across the top section. Please examine our high resolution photos to better understand condition of this rare poster.

An unusual and fairly rare Japanese poster giving a fantastic view of every fans two favourite droids, most likely from the opening scenes of the film, on board Tantive IV, Princess Leia's blockade runner starship.

We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.

Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
