"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…"
A guaranteed original Japanese 'B2' poster from 1978 for "Star Wars", now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope".
Written and directed by George Lucas and nominated in the "Best Picture" category for an Oscar, the film introduced us to Mark Hamill (as "Luke Skywalker"), Harrison Ford (as "Han Solo"), Carrie Fisher (as "Princess Leia"), Anthony Daniels (as "C-3PO"), Kenny Baker (as "R2-D2") and a host of actors now very familiar faces to all movie fans.
Note that the film was released in Japan in 1978, shortly after the U.S. release in 1977. This poster is from the original Japanese release.
This poster has never been folded. It is in stunning condition and displays very well.
This is a mysterious poster. Whilst its authenticity is confirmed, and a few other examples have surfaced, its original use (as an English language poster in a Japanese format) is not entirely clear. It is possible that they were used on U.S. military bases in the region. It is a superb way to get the original Tom Jung artwork in a genuine smaller format.
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
