A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 1985 for Joel Schumacher's Brat Pack coming-of-age drama "St. Elmo's Fire", starring Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Mare Winningham, Andrew McCarthy, Martin Balsam and Andie MacDowell.

When do we transition from child to adult? (Do we ever?) Leaving education and entering the 'real world' is the reality check for a group of Georgetown University graduates. As fate brings them back together, they meet again in their college hangout, St Elmo's Bar, but their lives are now very different from their care-free school days. 

The term 'Brat Pack' (a play on the 'Rat Pack' of the 1950's) was first coined in a 1985 New Yorker article by David Blum, with the core group all appearing in St Elmo's Fire and The Breakfast Club (which was released the same year). Emilio Estevez was described as the group's unofficial president!

Of course, being a 1980's film, the movie had to have it's own classic song. In this case, John Parr's St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion), a world-wide chart hit!

This fantastic poster is the first unfolded example we have tracked down for this 1980's classic! It is superb condition (check out our high resolution photos). A fantastic poster for any child of the 80's!

By the way, St. Elmo's Fire is a nautical term that refers to the illuminated plasma that sometimes dances around a ship's mast during a thunder storm!
