A superb and guaranteed original U.K. Quad movie poster from the original release of Steven Spielberg's 1975 masterpiece "Jaws", starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss and Lorraine Gary.

Based on Peter Benchley's 1974 novel, Spielberg's outstanding film is frequently listed as one of the greatest films ever made. Check out the warning on this poster - "May be particularly disturbing to younger unaccompanied children." UNACCOMPANIED?! While meaning 'Adult', an 'A' rating did not prevent children from watching the film, even unattended! That resulted in me being taken to see it when I was four! (It was given a 12A rating for its 2012 release.)

Is there a more iconic movie poster? The fantastic artwork is by the great Roger Kastel. It was originally painted for the cover of Benchley's novel, but was so good, it was retained for the film too.

Posters for this Summer Blockbuster classic are very highly sought after. This example was produced for use in the UK and the landscape format is known as a 'quad'. It was originally issued folded and was pinned to a wall at some point (perhaps even in the cinema). It has just been linen-backed by our paper conservators and as our photos show, it now displays really well! This is a very rare movie poster.
