"The name is Bond, James Bond..."
A guaranteed original and framed 8x10 theatrical still from 1979 for James Bond's "Moonraker", directed by Lewis Gilbert.
The eleventh of the Bond films and the fourth to star Roger Moore as 007, it also starred Lois Chiles (as 'Holly Goodhead'), Michael Londale (as 'Hogo Drax) and Richard Kiel (as the fantastic 'Jaws').
Whilst the end credits of the previous Bond film (1977's The Spy Who Loved Me) had stated that Bond would return in For Your Eyes Only, the producers decided to capitalise on the success of Star Wars and turned to Ian Fleming's 1955 novel Moonraker as the basis for the next Bond film.
Premiering in London on 26th June 1979, the movie would go on to take $210M at the box office, with critics singling out Moore's performance as one of his best renditions of the gentleman spy.
This original theatrical still makes me smile every time I look at it. It's not just Moore's action pose, take a look at the baddies in the background. I love it!
It is in fantastic condition and has been framed in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and acrylic glazing with high UV resistance. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
