A guaranteed original Australian day bill movie poster from 1977 for Steven Spielberg's sci-fi classic "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind", starring Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Garr, Melinda Dillon, Francois Truffaut and Cary Guffey.

Ever since watching a meteor shower as a child, Spielberg had been fascinated by aliens, UFOs and science-fiction. At the age of just seventeen he wrote and directed "Firelight" (1964), in which a group of scientists investigate the apparent abduction of people and animals by aliens from the planet Altaris.

Many of the scenes from Firelight would re-emerge, in fuller form, within Close Encounters. 

This movie poster was produced in Australia and was issued folded. It is a fantastic opportunity to pick up a smaller poster for this Spielberg classic.
