Every now and then, whilst out searching for vintage movie posters, we come across a poster that isn't movie related, but, is just so good, that we have to buy it. We call these our 'non movie' collection, and, here is a fine example!
A guaranteed original album insert poster from 1967 for Bob Dylan's "Greatest Hits" album. This iconic image was created by Milton Glaser (he would later go on to create the 'I (heart) N Y' image), based on Marcel Duchamp's 1957 'self portrait'. Whilst many can see the word 'Elvis' in Dylan's hair, Glaser maintains that it was not intentional and is a mere coincidence.
This poster has been beautifully linen-backed to aid preservation and restoration. Prior to that, it had some fine surface paper loss on parts of some fold-lines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linen-backing, was nicely backed, and (as our photos show) displays really well!
We only sell guaranteed original posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
