A guaranteed original and framed 11x14 lobby card from 1960 for William Wyler's biblical epic "Ben-Hur", adapted from the 1880 novel "Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ" by American lawyer, civil war general and author Lew Wallace.

This movie is an epic on any scale. At the time it had the largest budget (~ $16M) and the biggest sets ever constructed for a movie. Over 200 artists painted backdrops and 100 tailors designed and made costumes for over 10,000 extras!

It would win eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Charlton Heston) and Best Supporting Actor (Hugh Griffith).

We are thrilled to have tracked down a 'title' lobby card for this movie. Title lobby cards feature the main artwork of the movie poster, in this case the wonderful illustration by Joseph Smith. They were often cherry picked by collectors and so are typically harder to track down.

It would have been displayed in a foyer of a U.S. movie theater during the film's release, over sixty years ago!

It is in fantastic condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear Perspex glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
