A guaranteed original Italian 'locandina' movie poster from the 1970s for Sergio Leone's spaghetti western masterpiece "A Fistful of Dollars" starring Clint Eastwood (in his first leading role) as the man with no name!
Leone and Eastwood are synonymous with the spaghetti western genre - a set of films produced and directed by Italians and released from the mid 1960s. Together with "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" and "For a Few Dollars More", this film cemented both as leading film maker and star.
Tarantino's "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" has introduced the spaghetti western to a new generation of fans, and, with the prominent use of movie posters within the film, increased the desire for illustrated Italian locandinas.
This is a stunning example with artwork by Sandro Symeoni. Given the print and paper quality, it is likely that the poster is from the 1970's, rather than the original 1964 (it was released in the U.S. in 1967) release.
This really is a superb poster, with the narrower locandina format providing a great opportunity to hang an original movie poster on a smaller wall.
By the way, Sergio Leone is credited as Bob Robertson!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
