A guaranteed original U.S. Theatrical '8 x 10' Movie Still from 1968 for Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey".
Based on the short story "The Sentinel" by Arthur C. Clarke, the screenplay was written jointly by Kubrick and Clarke. Although financed by MGM from the U.S., the film was largely made in the U.K. It's ground-breaking visual effects earned Kubrick an Oscar. One of four of the film's nominations.
This theatrical still would have been used for promotion at the time of the film's release. As you can see from our photos, it is in superb condition and displays really well.
Now considered one of the most influential films ever made, this still captures the moment that David Bowman (played by Keir Dullea) 'kills' the computer HAL.
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This theatrical still is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
