Talbot's feature debut is set against the backdrop of the inner-city gentrification of San Francisco as Jimmie Fails and his friend Mont Allen (Jonathan Majors) reclaim Fails' old family home as their own.

Winner of the Sundance Film Festival's 'Best Directing' award, it has also received universal critical acclaim, with Barack Obama telling Vanity Fair that it ranked in his favourite films of 2019.
