A guaranteed original U.S. one sheet movie poster from 2004 for Katsuhiro Otomo's steam punk animated science fiction adventure "Suchimuboi", released in English as "Steamboy".

Otomo's second major anime movie (after 1988's classic 'Akira') was ten years in production and uses over 180,000 drawings! Set in an alternate nineteenth century Europe, human's have made tremendous progress with steam technology and a young maintenance boy is embroiled in the dangerous intrigue surrounding a mysterious spherical device.

For the English speaking market, SONY distributed the film through its niche 'Triumph Films' company. As a result, it did not receive the wide distribution that the movie deserves. Definitely one for the steampunk, anime or animation fan to look up.

Note that this poster has never been folded and is in superb condition. It is double-sided and so is suitable for display in Art of the Movies Light Box or traditional framing. As our photos show, it displays really well!
