"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…"

A guaranteed original licensed Kilian Enterprises 'Style D' / circus one sheet poster from 1992 for "Star Wars", now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope".

Written and directed by George Lucas and nominated in the "Best Picture" category for an Oscar, the film introduced us to Mark Hamill (as "Luke Skywalker"), Harrison Ford (as "Han Solo"), Carrie Fisher (as "Princess Leia"), Peter Cushing (as "Grand Moff Tarkin"), Alec Guinness (nominated in the "Best Supporting Actor" Oscar category, as Obi-Wan Kenobi) and a host of actors now very familiar faces to all movie fans.

The 'style D' (also known as the 'circus') one sheet poster was designed and painted by Drew Struzan and Charles White before the original release of Star Wars. George Lucas was apparently so impressed with the design, he commissioned it off a black and white sketch. Had it been ready, it may have been the actual launch poster for the film.

In 1992, Kilian Enterprises (who had worked with Lucasfilm on a number of posters), obtained permission to produce a limited run of the Style 'D' poster. To ensure that they could be distinguished from the original 1978 poster, they were printed with a serial number (this example is number 1861) and without quotes around the D of STYLE D.

This superb example has never been folded and (as our photos show) is in fantastic condition with only minor signs of its age! A really wonderful poster that will look incredible framed and on display.

We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.

Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
